The Greek American Institute’s After School Program strives to provide quality after school care for all students in Pre-K to 8th grade. Our mission is to provide a safe environment for the children, with hands-on enrichment activities, general homework supervision, recreational activities and social skills development. Activities may include arts and crafts, a variety of books and board games, movies or music and movement. The After School program is directed by an experienced and educated staff dedicated to caring for all students in a warm, nurturing environment.
Beginning in the cafeteria at dismissal, snacks are provided before they begin their homework assignments and activities. When all homework and extracurricular activities are completed, students finish the day in the gym, for physical exercise and play time.
The After School Program ends at 5:45pm each day. Any late pickups will be charged an additional fee and students who are frequently picked up late may be dismissed from the program. All parents/guardians who pick up students must present photo identification to staff upon request and sign out students daily. Only adults authorized to pick up students, having their name appear on the student’s emergency contact card, will be allowed to sign out a student. Written notification must be submitted for any new adults to sign out their student.
